Data included in this site comes from a variety of sources. Much of the initial information was taken from the International Genealogical Index (IGI) provided online by the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints but restricted to entries extracted from OPR entries.

Since then data has been received from other researchers, other websites or from original OPRs, especially death records, found at the General Records Office in Scotland. Where possible the source of data will be quoted in the notes for a family line.
