They married 21 June 1833 at St Cuthberts in the parish of Edinburgh, Midlothian. The marriage is also registered on the same date in Dundee, Angus.

• Arthur born 1837 christened 24 December 1837 in the parish of St Nicholas, Aberdeen - died 1 August 1908 at 41 Guthrie Street in the parish of Dundee, Angus. Married Ann Peel. Married Ann Moncur.
• James born 1843 christened 7 September 1843 in the parish of St Nicholas, Aberdeen.
• Thomas born 1845 christened 16 May 1845 in the parish of St Nicholas, Aberdeen - died 18 February 1881 at 39 Caldrum Street(?), St Andrews in the parish of Dundee, Angus.
• John born 1847 christened 12 May 1847 in the parish of St Nicholas, Aberdeen.

I have found the death registration for son Arthur. It confirms his parents as Thomas Mutch and Christain Newlands, both deceased at the time of Arthur's death.

It states that Arthur was a Shipmaster and died in Dundee. His father Thomas is stated to have been a Jute Mill mechanic. Details were given James Yule, son-in-law.

I have since found son Thomas' death registration which his father was a Factory Mechanic, but the writing is so difficult I can't read the son's occupation. It states he died single and the informant was John McLeod his brother-in-law.
