I have found this family in the 1841 census where Peter is listed as a Shoemaker living at Frogmore, Foveran. Alexander is not listed in the entry.
Sandi Massie sent me details of daughter Margaret, but with a first name of Jesse for the mother. A search in GRO gave additional children for this couple, the mother's name being recorded as Jannet, Janet, Jesse & Jessie.

I also found this couples marriage entry (where she is Janet) & Peter's death entry in the OPR which both confirmed his parents. His death was registered by his son Robert.

Peter was a shoemaker.

I have some information to add to Margaret Mutch, who is under Peter Mutch (P9) Margaret was christened 10 Jan 1923 in Foveran, Aberdeenshire. She died 5 April 1872 in Craibadona, Foveran, Aberdeenshire. Thomas Massie was born 1821 in Logie-Buchan, Aberdeen. He died 16 Nov 1868 in Craibadona, Foveran, Aberdeenshire. Have not found a marriage date as of this date. Margaret and Thomas had 3 children.

1) Peter Massie born 9 Sep 1843, Craibadona, Foveran, Aberdeenshire. Married 4 Dec 1872, Mill of Minnes, Foveran, Aberdeenshire to Margaret Walker born 1845 in Foveran, Aberdeenshire. She was christened 20 Feb 1845 in Foveran. He died 1914 in Calgary, Alberta (still looking for a death certificate), Canada. She died 8 Mar 1919 in Midnapore, Alberta, Canada. They had 7 Children.

3) Isabel Watt Massie born 25 Aug 1855 in Foveran, Aberdeenshire. She married 2 Jul 1875 in Chapel Of Garioch, Aberdeen to John Tough b. 1830 in Daviot, Aberdeenshire. She died 5 Jul 1904 in The Bungalow, Pittmedden, Udny, Aberdeen. He died 30 Dec 1904 in Udny, Aberdeen. They had 5 Children.
